Archimax is led by Alexander Kalis, an investor and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience across venture capital, public and private markets, and institutional asset management. He is the Founding Shareholder of Archimax Global Holdings, a private investment holding company focused on acquiring and growing established, profitable SME businesses for the long term. Alexander brings a disciplined and strategic approach to value creation, shaped by decades of experience building, managing, and investing in global businesses. Prior to founding Archimax, Alexander co-founded Milltrust International in 2010, a global investment firm headquartered in London and Singapore, where he served as Group Managing Partner. He led investment teams across venture capital, public markets, and private markets, overseeing portfolio management, investment strategy, and business development. He expanded Milltrust’s international presence across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, and forged strategic partnerships, including a pioneering collaboration with WWF to co-manage the Climate Impact Asia Fund. Alexander also serves on the Board of Directors of Milltrust International Investments SPC, the firm’s Cayman Islands-based fund platform. At Milltrust, he managed venture capital investments through the British Innovation Fund, investing between £300,000 and £10 million in late-seed to Series B technology and life sciences companies. He advised early-stage founders on growth strategy, investor readiness, and capital raising, working closely with management teams to scale promising innovations. Across his career, Alexander has been deeply involved in investment analysis, due diligence, and transaction execution across both public and private markets. In 2024, he co-founded East West Private Wealth, Milltrust’s multi-family office platform with operations in Singapore, the UAE, and the UK, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and helped establish a differentiated cross-border offering for ultra-high-net-worth families. Earlier in his career, Alexander managed institutional portfolios totaling billions of USD at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management and Santander Asset Management. He has built a trusted global network spanning Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas. He holds a Master’s in Management from UC Louvain in Belgium and is based in London with his family. Alexander works closely with business owners to ensure their companies are transitioned with care, continuity, and a long-term perspective. Today, he brings this experience to Archimax’s mission of building a resilient portfolio of enduring businesses.
